I didn’t think I would have time for a Six on Saturday. After a lovely few days in the Netherlands and the bulb fields, I’m sitting in Brussels EuroStar waiting to return home. Why am I returning via Brussels? It’s a long tedious tale but we can thank P&O Ferries!!!
On Tuesday we went to Keukenhof to view the fabulous variety of spring bulbs. Despite having snow on Friday the flowers were amazing. Most of the narcissi were over, the hyacinths looked amazing and filled the air with their perfume.
Here are my Six on Saturday – better late than never. I shall write in more depth when I am home.
Not only were there beautifully laid out gardens with every colour scheme you could think of, including ones you might never contemplate in your garden, they had hundreds of tulips inside the pavilion which was a wonderful way of choosing bulbs for next year. You could see the colours and how they will look when fully flowered.
